Ladies Night

I have some really great friends. And if it wasnt for them I would never get to see movies like 27 Dresses and embarress all of them with my loud laughter.
I am the ancient one of the group and they try to keep me cool. (They informed me I have to start listening to Ashlee Simpson.) If it wasnt for them and Taylor I would still be listening to Michelle Branch (gasp)!

What the..................?

I get to drive be this little gem everyday. Yes it's a purple house with green trim and a giant horse statue. I took this as I was driving so it's not the angle I wanted to get. And to make it worse... It has parts.

Can you say ornery?

Anyone that reads the title to this post and knows Brett, can correctly guess that he is the subject of this post.

It's become Brett's favorite joke lately that I get to be as good a cook as my cousin Emily. Every time we are at her house and she makes something yummy, Brett insists that I get the recipe. So the last time we were there I got the recipe for this yummy salad, which I made the other night. We're sitting at the table, and I'm eating away thinking yum, I love this salad, when Brett says laughing "does this taste good to you?" Yea, actually it did. I was a little shocked. I said "you liked it at Emily's" and he said "well you must have done something wrong." No people, I didn't. IT WAS THE SAME SALAD!! At least he laughs when he insults me.

I need a vacation from vacation!

Here are some pictures from the week my family (minus cori and fam) was here. I loved having them here!!!Charlie's favorite seat was Taylor's lap. They were buddies. Taylor ran laps around my house yelling "Charlie! Charlie! Chase me!" and of course, he did. Here's Charlie opening his Christmas present. Auntie Cori got him a flamingo with a giant tennis ball as the body and ropes as the legs. The poor flamingo didn't last long. It was only a matter of hours before it lost it's wings and head. The body and legs lasted about a week. Poor flamingo.
Here was our spread for Christmas dinner, about five minutes before I spilled a glass of sparkling cider into the cheesy potatoes.
And we went to Sisters to see my cousin Emily and family. They had a little snow. Quite a shock to our California visitors.

And note to self for next year: Do not leave a cheese ball unattended when Charlie is around. He likes cheese balls.

Another Successful Birthday

I wish I could have days like that without getting another year older. I used to love adding another year.... now I'm ready to stop. But keep the purses and shoes coming!
