Charlie's a Fish

While we were in Florence we decided to take Charlie to the lake and teach him how to swim. Brett got all suited up and braved the chilly water to coax Charlie into the water. We under estimated the little fish. I threw the ball out into the lake, and off Charlie went, no hesitation. We were so proud.
Then we played fetch (about 53 million times) on dry ground to let Charlie dry a little before we put him back in the car. The field was so pretty covered in dandelions (or dandelillies as Brett likes to call them).

The Dunes

Friday we went to Florence to camp and play on the dunes with some friends.

We stayed on the beach until 10pm when the sun went down. If I didn't know what Florence was like most days of the year I would have said it was paradise! That day it was!

Lunch with a little embarrassment on the side

I met Brett for lunch today at Del Taco. (I know Beth, that's not on my diet. I said I was going to get in shape.... I didn't necessarily mean today)

We ordered our macho size combo meal and sat down at a table to wait for our food. While we waited Brett studied the receipt and compared it to the menu board above the counter. And OH MY GOSH, we were charged 60 cents too much!!! We've been through this before, and I knew what was coming. He stood up to go talk to the manager and get our 60 cents back, and I snuck out the back door to hide.

I've Been Set Up

I came home from work today to find this.....

Brett did a little laundry today, then left to go camping with the Young Men. Folding laundry is NOT what I had planned to do on my Friday night. Especially when I've got a new book and a night to myself! Even if I was a little behind. OK OK ... I got the hint :)

Update

I just got back from my Girls' Weekend in Arizona. I can't begin to describe how much fun it was! I think I might have burned as many calories laughing as I took in. And thanks Beth for introducing me to mine and Brett's new favorite snack... string cheese wrapped in turkalini. :)

After the recital Brett told me "I did good, I only messed up once." I couldn't help myself, I said "Really?" He didn't count the creative timing as a mistake. :)
