I Can't Be That Old

We went home to California last week to see our baby sisters graduate high school.

We got to see family of course. Here are most of Brett's siblings and their spouses. We missed you Michelle!

We had to go 2 hours early to graduation to be able to get seats. So 4 hours in the sun on high school bleachers. It was a good thing I had good company and some entertainment. Dax tried on every one's sunglasses.

Finally Graduation started. My brilliant sister was one of 60 or so valedictorians out of a graduating class of 760. I'm so proud of her! It was so cool to see her in that white gown! You can see by the hill behind her why we had to get there early. LOTS of people and limited seating.
Taylor getting her diploma. One of the many times I had to wipe a tear.

Taylor and all of her other smarty pants friends. (normal graduates wore black robes, valedictorians (4.0 GPA) wore white, and I cant remember what the red means, but basically it means a really big smarty pants.)

And THIS is the funniest kid I know. We were shopping and he was getting really upset if we tried on any shoes. Because HE wanted them all.

Our New Chauffeur

Charlie was outside with Brett yesterday when I went to get in the car to go to the store. Charlie snuck in and sat down practically before I had the door open. We thought it was pretty funny.

My surprise visit to AZ

I got to go to AZ for a surprise baby shower for my cousin Beth. It was a great party and a great little vacation! And I was really close to being there for the birth. Oh well, I cant have it all.

Oh yeah, and Brett won his weight loss challenge. 50 lbs lighter and 180.00 richer.

It's ridiculous, I know.

Spring

It's spring finally and the flowers are out! Even my tulips.

Charlie enjoying one of our rare clear days.

Charlie went to a doggy daycare this weekend while Brett and I went to Sisters to see and Em and Nyle and the kids. Brett picked him up while I was at work on Monday, and Charlie searched the whole house for me. I love it that he loves me so much.
One of the twins trying to squeeze his big ol foot into my shoes. They are getting so big! This was right after he was dancing around the house with a jock strap on over his shorts. I ran for my camera, but by the time I got it out it was too late.

Another thing we did this weekend was buzz Brett's head. It's part of his total body makeover. He's up to a loss of 35 pounds with one week left in the competition. He's hot, I know y'all are jealous. :)

Cinco De Mayo

3rd Annual Cinco de Mayo Party.
Even though attendance was pretty slim, we still had a great time.
Pinata. We were successful this year in not breaking anything during the pinata bashing.
However, the pinata selection was very slim, and we felt badly about beating a little boy in his backpack. The kids in attendance had no such qualms. They couldn't wait to "knock his head off"

Adam's famoso tortilla toss.

Charlie got a few tortillas during Ashley's turn

The tortilla tossing champion. Brett won the first round, but lost to Adam in the playoffs.

6 Years

For our anniversary we went to Seattle for the weekend. We had a blast walking through town and seeing the sights.

Pike Street Market

The flowers at the market were sooo beautiful!

Brett got a kick out of these protesters and wanted to join them.

This was the craziest building I've ever seen. We saw it and wanted to take a picture for my brother in law Jaxon so he could tell us how they did it. Cori... pass it on.

We are not coffee drinkers, but Brett still thought it was cool to see the very first Starbucks.
