We went on a little hike for the 4th, and things didn't end the way we expected. Charlie decided to go down the steep hill and jump into the river. He rode a rapid then couldn't get out because the banks were too steep. So Brett goes charging down the hill to save him. On the way down he slips on the wet rocks and goes sliding into the river himself. So because the bank on the right side of the river were so steep and rocky, they had to go to the other side, hike up stream for a little ways to find a good place to cross back over. I just wish I was a little quicker with the camera.

Oh my gosh! how scary. I am glad that all parties involved came out of it in one piece. was it at least hot enough so that when he got out of the water that he wasn't freezing to death?
Yikes! I can just picture it. That Charlie is giving you a run for your money right now. (You should have kept the adoption a secret from him). Glad everyone's okay.
Yikes! Poor Charlie! I'm glad that he's ok now (and Brett too). The place you were at looks amazing! Hope you had fun other than that incident.
Are you sure Brett didn't push him down the hill?
What a hero! I'm so glad he was able to save Charlie and didn't come to any harm himself either! Reading your post almost stopped my heart... I knew they'd be okay because of the pictures you posted, but it still brought horror to my heart. That's how my mother's mother died.
