This is Oregon's STATE Christmas tree, at Riverfront Park here in the state capitol. I can't believe that out of all the state workers there are in this town they couldn't find one to do a decent job of lighting the Christmas tree. Unacceptable! It looks like they just took the strands and just threw them at the tree and if they stayed it was good enough. We thought, "Oh how cool, there's going to be a tree lighting ceremony, how special!" Then it lit up and we thought "how embarrassing!"

I know you're probably sick of gun pictures but I thought it was pretty funny when I pulled out the camera at Sportsmans Warehouse and said "Smile Honey!" while he was standing at the gun counter with all the rugged mountain men standing around. I just love to embarrass Brett, give a little of his own back!

that tree is hideous! definitely an embarassment to grand state of oregon! what were they thinking really? they couldn't eveb spring and light up the bottom part of the tree...so sad. oh and, way to go julia...way to make brett take one for the so called team. love you guys! miss you!
That is the ugliest Christmas tree I ever saw.
Okay, I love Oregon, but I'm ashamed of them for putting that tree up and leaving it. Maybe they were hoping for a lot of snow to cover it up!

Maybe the tree lighter was a trainee...and they didn't want to hurt his feelings? Or maybe the regular guy fell off the ladder and that was the best they could get last minute? Just a few thoughts because it really is the worst I've ever seen.
