I've Been Set Up

I came home from work today to find this.....

Brett did a little laundry today, then left to go camping with the Young Men. Folding laundry is NOT what I had planned to do on my Friday night. Especially when I've got a new book and a night to myself! Even if I was a little behind. OK OK ... I got the hint :)

If I had a good book, I might leave it for Brett when he comes home. He made the mess, he can clean it up.... right?!?!?!

Yeah I think I agree with Patti...although if I did that to Chris it would stay there and he would probably just sit on top of it to watch TV! Good luck! Let me know if you figure out how to make a man clean up after himself!

Oooo, what book is it? There's nothing more tantalizing than an unopened book. Too bad I never have time to read anything but Dr. Suess. Sigh...

i vote for the book skip the laundry. although if it were me the book wouldn't be as exciting with the thought of giant pile of laundry to think about.

NOT FAIR. Folding the laundry is the ONLY difficult part. Does he think he really helped by putting them in the washer and dryer? Is that REALLY so difficult??! What a twit.. Go read your book... :)

I wouldn't fold them. That kind of behavior from Brett shouldn't be rewarded. Don't let him get away with that kind of stuff.

HEY NOW!!! There is only one thing that I do not do around here, and that is fold laundry. Well I do help with the white sometimes. Yes, in the mist of preparing all day for this campout I chose to jump start the 6 loads of laundry that needed to be done. I thought this would be a big help to my beautiful wife, but I guess it has back lashed. I guess we'll have to see how it looks around here if I stop: picking up poop, mowing the lawn, picking the weeds, pruning the roses (I should just say 95% of the yard work, and if you haven’t seen our yard COME ON OUT I”LL GIVE YOU A TOUR), plunging the toilet (maybe this is caused by me), washing the cars, and killing innocent spiders/bugs. All of which are done EXCLUSIVELY BY ME!! Beth, you are right. Folding laundry is the only difficult part, but I guess if it means that I exclusively PICK UP POOP, sounds like a fair trade.

Don't worry, Brett. I don't blame you. I think everyone has at least one thing they can't stand to do, and you just luck out if you don't have it in common with your spouse. For me, it's sweeping. I try not to leave it for Grant to do EVERY time, but the dirty floors usually bother him enough to do it before they do me. If a cheerio sticks to my foot on the way across the kitchen, I put it in the garbage if it's still stuck there by the time I get over to it. That's how I contribute to cleaning the floors. So, I applaud you in your laundry efforts. At least you did part of it.
