Ok, people..... I need some ideas. What's a girl to do with herself all day with a 3 month old? I can only sing silly songs for so long, and I'm getting tired of watching House Hunters International. Today we tried going for a run, but two minutes into it, it started raining on us, so we turned around and went home.

PLAYGROUPS. PLAYGROUPS. PLAYGROUPS. They have nothing to do with the kids. :) I went beserk too until I figured out that those are actually mommy social hour.
Do you have friends with a little bit older kids? Because I did all the stuff they did just with Syd strapped to me in a sling- the farm, the park, whatever they were doing I did.
I am a restless person by nature so I almost went insane until I just MADE myself get out of the house. \
So, I agree with playgroups!
Playgroups are the greatest. I'm still having/going to them with the grandkids! It's good for the kids and the moms/grandmoms. But that's only one day of the week. Take him shopping, he will love the lights and sounds. I don't care what others say about Baby Einstein videos, the kids love them and if you interact with them, they love it even more. (just not all day) Learn a new hobby or do some work from home. Exercise classes/videos for moms and babies are fun too.
um, you could call me. isaac was born in august so i had all winter to stay indoors and we just hung out. but i'm good to stay home all day. i'm lazy like that. i have made friends with a lot of the neighborhood moms and we hang out with them at the park or inside if it's cold. so, i second what everyone else says...playgroups! there's always the west salem mom's club, too. i joined that when isaac was really young but i'm not a member anymore. ask andrea about it, she was the president last year :)
You could even find things that you would like to do. Go window shopping (yeah, like that's possible) or go to a museum and just talk to Jaron about what you're doing. Or even go somewhere with toys (Toys R Us)and play with him. You'll be surprised how much they take in. Or you could do the best thing of all, come visit Megan and Piper!
I'm still trying to figure that out with a 4 year old--although I definitely think it is easier the older the child is. So good luck! Oh and kudos for running with the kid--you burn about 200 extra calories an hour when you are pushing a jogging stroller and running!
enjoy the quiet for awhile---when he gets mobile---it all changes---then you are chasing him 24/7---i understand and well-remember thinking "so, what do women do all day long!? this is no big deal!---" enjoy it for another month or two!
