A Fascination with socks

Charlie has this weird obsession with socks. Or maybe he just likes the game we play whenever he gets them. I chase him around for 20 minutes trying to get them back. He stops and lets me get close then darts away again right before I can grab them. Doesn't that sound like a fun game?

FALL

Ok, so it's been fall for a while now, but my blogging has been, ummm.... non existent. I'll just let you think that it's because I've been so busy. But I did snap a couple pictures lately that I'll share. It's hard not to grab for my camera when it's so beautiful here right now. Growing up in California I never knew how much I loved the fall. But I do.
And I mentioned we were getting new carpet in our family room..... well here is Brett and Charlie breaking it in. I guess they didn't think I was serious when I said there was no, wrestling, drooling, walking, standing, laying, breathing....... on my new carpet.

Welcome Home

This is what I come home to everyday. And no one needs to comment on how nasty the carpet is! I KNOW! It's getting replaced tomorrow! wahooo!

Similarities

Some of you have shared some precious moments you've had with your husbands recently, and they were just so touching I thought I'd share one of my own. I know this might make some of you jealous but............. Brett locked me out of the house for throwing away his candy. And he even offered to get me a sleeping bag. If that doesn't say I love you I don't know what does. :-D

Another thing I have in common with a few of you... my kids like to dress up too.

I guess Charlie needs a new costume this year.

Newport

We went to Newport last weekend and hung out with the McEntees. We picked the perfect weekend to go - the weather was perfect, if not a little too hot if that's possible!

They just got this cute new mini cooper and I just had to snap a shot of these two big guys wearing it.
This was a normal scene while we were there. The first evening there McKenzie sat on Brett's lap and laid back and said "This is cozy." After that she took advantage of every minute Brett was sitting down. They were great buds.
